Virtual Pitching Tool

The Virtual Catcher is an innovative new training tool for Pitchers of all ages and abilities. The Projection Unit works as a virtual catcher, accurately measuring and recording the location and velocity for each pitch. It allows coaches and players to set up customized training programs, manage pitch counts and track each player's progress.

As a target for the pitcher to consistently focus on, the virtual catcher is a catcher that only tells the truth and remembers everything you do. Use the science of location to improve your lessons and give objective feedback. Use the feedback to set goals and show improvement.

How is your strength program working? How do you record the results of your athletes? Tired of writing everything down, losing papers, and trying to chart progress? The Board records everything for you, plus it makes every training session a competition. Competition makes training fun and that makes training effective.

Everyone has seen a pitching machine. Everyone has been in a warehouse with nets and astroturf. How many athletes have been sent home with a printout of their workout? How many baseball players get to compete in the off-season in a pitching league?

Pitching League
3-2 Count Athletic Training Facility is now organizing its "Pitching League" on our new Virtual Catcher Projection pitching board - for all players ages 9 to 18. Teams will be comprised of three players, with each team playing once a week (Fridays thru Sundays) for six weeks plus playoffs. Each player will throw 45 pitches 5 per inning. The target is randomly selected for each pitch. The visiting team will pitch their 9 inning game, and will then be followed by the home team. Speed and Accuracy is measured for each pitch. Runs allowed are automatically calculated by The Virtual Catcher - based on ACCURACY. Pitching distance is based on USSSA rules for their age group. Each player on a team must pitch from the same distance. Speed and Accuracy Reports for each team and player will be available to track pitchers progress.

The main screen is divided into several regions. The largest area on the left shows the 9 zones that correspond to the board and are used to highlight the requested pitch location and show the actual result.
The software display will show the requested pitch and requested location for each pitch, walking the pitcher through their training session.

After each pitch, the software will display the exact location of each the pitch thrown, along with velocity and a rating for that pitch. After all the pitches in the defined training session have been thrown, or when you end the training session by selecting "Training" and "end session" from the menu, the software will display training complete and store the session. All session are automatically stored and can be reopened at any time.
